How to Send Encrypted Emails & Attachments

As you may already know, email communications (including attachments) within CPS owned domains* is secure, and any information can be transmitted safely - even over the Internet. If and when there is a need to send sensitive information via email (including attachments) to a non CPS owned domain, then the email encryption service below must be utilized. (*CPS owned domains include @cpspharm.com, @pharmacysystems.com, @psiscs.com, @rxremotesolutions.com, @therigy.com, @trellisrx.com)

Step 1: Click on “New Email” in the upper left hand corner of Microsoft Outlook
Step 2: In order to utilize the Email Encryption Service, you only need to include the word “secure” (not case sensitive) anywhere in the subject line.
This will email recipients a link to a secure page where the message and related attachments can be retrieved.
- Note that first-time recipients will be prompted to set up a password in order to log into the Email Encryption Service.

Replies to messages from within the Email Encryption Service will continue to stay within the service.
